Zimbabwe's Shona sculpture is a highly respected art form. The Shona are a tribe of people that reside in southern Africa. The Shona make up more than three-quarters of Zimbabwe's population, while smaller numbers reside in South Africa, Zambia, and Mozambique. Stone sculptures created by Shona artisans are often referred to as "Shona sculptures."
